Good news! Liverscan® from Eieling Technology was successfully selected into the “List of 100 International Technology Transaction Innovation Projects”

On March 27, at the Zhongguancun International Technology Exchange Conference held at the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting in Beijing, the “List of 100 New Technologies and New Products” and “List of 100 International Technology Exchange Innovation Projects” were announced on site. Among them, Liverscan®, a portable liver elastic imaging ultrasound diagnostic system used by Eieling Technology to measure fatty liver and liver fibrosis, stood out from 1,472 innovative projects worldwide and successfully made it onto the “List of 100 International Technology Exchange Innovation Projects”. As a representative enterprise of scientific research transformation of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, this selection reflects the technological innovation achievements made by Eieling Technology in the field of medical health, and is also a recognition of its commercial value.

President Xi pointed out that the Zhongguancun Forum is a national platform for global scientific and technological innovation, exchange, and cooperation. The Zhongguancun International Technology Exchange Conference is an important part of the Zhongguancun Forum.

This selection focuses on high-tech industries such as new generation information technology, new materials, intelligent equipment, and medical health. The list was selected from 1,472 innovative projects in more than 40 countries and regions around the world after three rounds of selection and evaluation by many experts and scholars. The “List of 100 International Technology Trading Innovation Projects” focuses on the work goal of “promoting international technology trading cooperation” and focuses on “innovative technology”. It has become a highland for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and technology transactions with global influence. Liverscan® was developed by Professor Zheng Yongping’s team from the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, focusing on the development and provision of medical ultrasound solutions in the field of liver fibrosis and fatty liver.

Liverscan® is equipped with the world’s exclusive patented technology for real-time B-mode ultrasound-guided transient elastography, which can measure liver hardness and acoustic attenuation parameters, and accurately diagnose fatty liver and liver fibrosis. Through the empowerment of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence algorithms and cloud processing, real-time image-assisted positioning, a probe can accurately present the development stage of cirrhosis and perform a graded assessment of fatty liver. It optimizes the cost of medical work, reduces the difficulty of follow-up visits for patients, and improves the patient’s medical experience.

2. Portable and efficient, combining prevention and treatment

The fact that Eieling Technology was selected into the “List of 100 International Technology Transaction Innovation Projects” reflects its new breakthroughs in innovating liver disease diagnosis and treatment models, and has set an industry benchmark in the deep integration of industry, academia, and research. At present, the application of Liverscan® in North America, Southeast Asia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan has expanded the coverage of Liverscan® screening, met the high demand of patients for liver disease diagnosis, and provided more users with reliable liver fibrosis and fatty liver diagnosis solutions. In the future, Eieling Technology will continue to focus on “new quality productivity”, increase R&D investment, continuously optimize product performance, and expand application areas.
