“Intelligent Acceleration” | Liverscan® AI Module Debuts in Vietnam, Installed in Remote Areas of Yunnan and at the MMC Center of Kiang Wu Hospital in Macau

Recently, Eieling Technology’s flagship product, the Liverscan® quantitative shear wave ultrasound liver analyzer, has been installed in Da Nang, Vietnam, Yunnan, and Macau. Unlike previous installations, the Liverscan® installed in Da Nang, Vietnam, is equipped for the first time with three AI modules: AI-assisted positioning, automatic ROI adjustment, and automatic switching to enhanced mode. AI intelligently assists medical staff in making efficient and accurate decisions, demonstrating the unlimited potential of Liverscan® innovation. This breakthrough marks the beginning of an era of “AI precision” for primary liver disease screening in Southeast Asia, and is expected to increase early screening rates for liver disease in Vietnam, reduce medical costs, and enable more people to enjoy high-quality medical services.

AI-Assisted Positioning: Eliminating the Barrier to Operation

Traditional ultrasound systems rely on manual liver positioning by physicians through experience. However, the Liverscan® AI module assists medical personnel in analyzing ultrasound images in real time, intelligently identifying the liver and accurately segmenting the optimal acquisition area, significantly improving clinical diagnostic efficiency. Even primary care providers can easily complete standardized procedures.

Automatic ROI adjustment accurately avoids interference

According to patient size variations, Liverscan®’s AI precisely avoids interference factors, providing multi-level intelligent adaptation through dual depth and axial adjustments. This reduces operator errors and shortens examination time. Furthermore, AI-assisted analysis provides a reliable basis for clinical treatment planning and prognosis, further enhancing the accuracy of chronic liver disease diagnosis and treatment.

Automatically switches to enhanced mode, eliminating the need for probe changes

 The Liverscan® automatically switches to enhanced mode, ensuring successful examinations for individuals with high BMIs and abdominal obesity. Furthermore, a single probe is required to complete the examination, eliminating the need for additional equipment switching. This significantly reduces procurement and maintenance costs and improves clinical applicability.


02 Yunnan and Macao installed equipment to accelerate the interconnection of liver screening systems

In addition to the successful deployment in Da Nang, Vietnam, Liverscan® has been successfully installed and put into clinical use in the First People’s Hospital of Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, Yunnan Province, and the MMC Center of Kiang Wu Hospital in the Macao Special Administrative Region.

Lancang Lahu Autonomous County in Yunnan Province borders Myanmar and has relatively limited medical resources. The successful installation of Liverscan® has enabled widespread coverage of liver health services.

In clinical applications, Liverscan® has significantly enhanced the early screening capabilities of local medical institutions for liver disease, effectively promoting the transfer of high-quality medical resources to border areas and providing strong support for strengthening public health services in border regions.

As China’s National Standardized Metabolic Disease Management Center (MMC), Kiang Wu Hospital in Macau has introduced Liverscan®, providing its endocrinology department with a highly effective fatty liver and cirrhosis risk assessment tool, significantly optimizing the health management pathway for patients with chronic liver disease. Eieling will accelerate the promotion of visits and exchanges with model hospitals in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, jointly promoting the interconnection and interoperability of liver screening systems across China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

Continuous innovation to benefit global liver disease prevention and treatment

The successful application of Liverscan® in Vietnam signals that AI technology is driving intelligent transformation in liver health management. Addressing the medical challenges faced by Vietnam, a region with a high incidence of liver disease—including high equipment costs, complex procedures, and insufficient screening coverage—the AI ​​module integrated into Liverscan® significantly improves the efficiency and quality of chronic liver disease diagnosis and treatment, effectively promoting the transfer of high-quality medical resources to rural areas. This AI function will also be gradually implemented in mainland China.
